Spring Open House on April 18th
 
 
 
                                               Open House on April 18th 2011
 
Marilyn called the Meeting to assemble
 
 
 
Our President Albert welcomed all guests and called the Meeting to order  
 
 
       Jerry gave a speech on how he got into Toastmasters. 35 years ago someone in his Geography Class told him he needed Toastmasters. He started by doing officer duties and eventually worked his way to a DTM and Qualified Speaker. Jerry likes to sing Karaoke.
 
 
 Becky was our second speaker and talked about conquering our natural fears to speak. She also shared with us her many Awards she earned in Toastmasters.
 
 
Julia was outstanding as Toastmaster for our Open House on April 18th.
 
 
 Laura was our third speaker and shared with us how she overcame a severe speaking disability caused by medications she took when she became deathly ill. Thanks to Toastmasters she was able to overcome and now speaks with great confidence.Best Speaker was Laura
 
 
 Best Evaluator was Hannah
 
 
 We had many guests and they all participated. Dominique, Ginny, Osama (no show), Rebecca, Nancy, Jerry, Michael, and Reginald.
 
 
Jack said "To conquer fear you must face fear"
 
 
Rebecca said "I'm past the green I'm done!" during Table Topics
 
 
         Best Table Topics went to Ginny
 
 
Patty evaluated Jerry's speach 
 
 
Roy evaluated Laura's speach
 
 
Reggie Participated in Table Topics
 
 
 Above and Beyond was Julia for Toastmaster duties.
 
 
Osama Bin Ladan was scheduled to be our fourth speaker for the evening, unfortunately, our featured guest was later found dead. Osama was voted Vice- President of Public Relations for Cave and Desert Toastmasters - Club # 666  somewhere in the Middle-East.   He was scheduled to speak on how Toastmasters helped him to communicate with fellow Terrorists to perform random attacks around the world.   Too bad, I was really looking forward to his Ice-Breaker Speech.....
