Toastmasters was formed in who?1924, by Dr. Ralph C. Smedley.  The purpose was to provide an opportunity for practice and training in the art of public speaking and in presiding over meetings. After 80 years Toastmasters International is now the undisputed world leader in public speaking training with over 211,000 members, in over 10,500 clubs, in approximately 90 countries.  Town and Country Toastmasters in Colton, CA has been your local chapter since 1957.

why?Our goal is "To Maximize Your Potential". Experienced professionals and beginning speakers alike will benefit from our practical, face-to-face learning program. Whether you're speaking to the board of directors, your customers, your co-workers or your kids, Town and Country Toastmasters will help you do it better. You will learn and develop your speaking skills with people who are there for the same reason you are — to become a better communicator!

how?

Town and Country Toastmasters provides it's members with the opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking and leadership abilities by providing a friendly, comfortable and supportive environment.  Most importantly, we love to have a GREAT TIME!  You will learn by speaking to club members and working with others in a supportive environment. Our club meets once a week for an hour and a half.  Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation.  You also have the opportunity to learn through conferences, training seminars and speech contests. You determine how far you want to go and how soon you want to get there.
